Why "Organic" Pest Control Is Misleading

When most people hear "organic," they think of clean, green, and safe, like organic food at the grocery store. But in the pest control industry, the word means something completely different.

In chemistry, "organic" simply means the compound is carbon-based. Many of the most toxic pesticides on the market are technically "organic" chemicals. Companies use this label to make their treatments sound safe, when in reality they may be spraying some of the most harmful substances available.

This is one of the biggest reasons we founded Primal Pest Control. We believe in transparency about what we use and why we use it.

Our IPM first approach begins with environmental modifications and exclusion. Active infestations may require a product in the lowest effective toxicity category. After control is established, regular service can use natural EPA 25(b) exempt products such as EcoVia or Naturecide.
